Sinopec Green Energy (SGE) is a Sino-Icelandic Joint Venture between Orka Energy and China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (SINOPEC). SGE combines in-depth knowledge of the geothermal resource in China and yearlong Icelandic experience of constructing and operating geothermal district heating systems. SGE’s main focus is to build and develop a state of the art geothermal heating system in Greater China.
SINOPEC is a majority owned subsidiary of state owned company Sinopec Group. The company is listed in Hong Kong and its shares are also traded in Shanghai and New York.
